The Pennington County Natural Resources Department protects and preserves the county's natural resources and their sustainable uses. These resources include agriculture, forests, minerals, public health, water and wildlife. Various management practices are implemented to protect them from various threats. The department works closely with private landowners, other local, state and federal partners to protect the county's natural resources.
It is the goal of Pennington County Weed and Pest Department to conduct and manage a sound, integrated weed & pest management program with the resources available. This goal will be accomplished through willing cooperation with other government agencies, private property owners, and surrounding counties.
