LEPC MISSION
To collect and maintain information on hazardous materials being used in or passing through the county; to analyze associated risks and vulnerabilities, and develop an effective emergency plan; to make planning information readily available to responders and the general public; and, to provide a continuing forum for the local community to discuss hazardous materials issues.
MEMBERSHIP
The LEPC consists of representatives from the following groups: Elected Officials, Law Enforcement, Emergency Management, Fire Service, Emergency Medical Service, Public Health, Hospitals, Transportation, Environmental Organizations, Community Groups, Facility Owner/Operators, and the Media.

LEPC MEETING SCHEDULE
The Pennington County Hazardous Materials Emergency Planning Committee (aka LEPC) regular agenda meetings are normally conducted quarterly on the third Thursday at 12:00pm (call for location). Dates and times may vary. As always, the public is encouraged to attend. Please call Rapid City-Pennington County Emergency Management at (605) 394-2185 to check the meeting schedule for confirmed dates and times.
