Investigations Division - School Resource Deputy Program

The Sheriff’s Office participates in the School Liaison Program jointly with the Rapid City Police Department. 

The School Resource Deputies provide assistance to school administrators and parents, instruction to students, investigation of criminal activity, and handle other police issues concerning schools and students. Our program started almost three decades ago and serves as an effective link between law enforcement, children, parents, and educators.

Sergeant Jeremy Milstead oversees the Sheriff's Office School Resource Deputies.
