Risk Based Response to Battery Emergencies - Black Hills Energy - FREE!
When:The Rapid Valley Fire Department is pleased to host Risk Based Response to Battery Emergencies on March 29 and 30, 2024 at Black Hills Energy- Horizon Point in Rapid City. The course is taught by instructors from Hazard 3, a Florida-based company. The course description is below as well as a link to the Hazard 3 website. The class is limited to 30 participants. This 8-hour course includes classroom and hands-on training to prepare responders to conduct risk-based response to battery emergencies for multiple types of batteries including Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion).
The course covers batteries found in transportation including passenger vehicles, ground transport, air and sea shipping, as well as residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
