Fire Investigation: First Responders

This two-day course presents a basic overview of a fire investigation.  Students will review the basics of fire chemistry and develop an understanding of the role of the first responder in relation to fire suppression and fire investigation.  The course will stress the importance of fire scene awareness, evidence identification, preservation, and the basics of fire investigation. Students will develop an appreciation of the convergence if suppression, investigation, science and law.

This class is presented at no cost to you by the National Fire Academy.  However, please preregister before March 31st. Seating is limited so register early. Register by phone (605)692-6323 or email jscott@cityofbrookings-sd.gov.

Saturday's lunch will be served on site for a small donation. Snacks will be provided.
