Grand Opening of Fire Training Tower - RCFD
When:Rapid City, S.D. – The Rapid City Fire Department is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its new, state-of-the-art fire training tower.
The hose un-coupling ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 30th at 2 p.m. at 2420 Creek Drive and will signify a significant milestone for the department and the community it serves.
The Rapid City Fire Department’s 5 story fire training tower has 3,740 square feet of total training space.
The first and second floor consists of 2,000 square feet of configurable burn rooms and the third floor has 640 square feet of configurable panel maze. There are numerous other props to include a flat and vertical roof prop, forcible entry door, and forcible window props.
The training tower will serve as a crucial training ground for firefighters, allowing them to hone their skills in various scenarios, including structural firefighting, and technical rescue operations.
The ceremony will be open to the public.
