Household Hazardous Waste

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW):

Any unwanted household product labeled as flammable, toxic, corrosive, or reactive.

Before you throw that chemical away, is there a better place for it than in your trash can or down the drain? Many common household chemicals can cause damage to the environment when they are not disposed of properly. We don't want hazardous waste in our landfills either.

These are some of the items that require special "pitching" instructions. Some can be disposed of at the local landfill while others can be recycled or disposed of through other local sources or at a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Event.

The next Household Hazardous Disposal event will take place

Saturday, October 14, 8 AM - 1 PM.
