Economic Assistance
The Economic Assistance programs assist individuals who meet the eligibility criteria as outlined in the Pennington County approved guidelines and South Dakota State Statutes. This includes Economic, Medical and Funeral assistance programs.
Individuals must be Pennington County residents with no other resources available and must meet income guidelines. More information about Economic Assistance.
Diversion Services
Rebound Reentry Program
Rebound is a diversion program administered by Pennington County Human Services, which provides guidance and support to individuals while they are incarcerated in the Pennington County Jail, through comprehensive transition coordination prior to being released from the facility and extending ongoing support into the community.
Transition Coordination Services
Transition Coordination Services are offered to clients in Detox, Residential Treatment, Safe Solutions, and Pivot Point programs. Services are tailored to each person's care plan.
Veterans Service Office
The Pennington County Veterans Service Office (VSO) assists veterans, and their dependents and survivors in applying for veterans' benefits including benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs and the State of South Dakota. Referrals are also made to other agencies that may have potential benefits for veterans. More information about Veterans Service Office
