Web Accessibility

Web Accessibility Policy

Pennington County is committed to maintaining a high level of accessibility by all web users.  Our goal is for all pages on our website to comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA, the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), available at www.w3.org/TR/WCAG.

We will use reasonable effort to ensure that all web pages and content are reviewed on a periodic basis and updated accordingly should non-confirming content be discovered.  All new or revised content published by the County must be in compliance with WCAG 2.0 AA.

Should specific content be requested to be made accessible, that content should be made accessible as soon as possible. If cost or other factors result in undue administrative or financial burdens, alternative formats may be used to provide content to the requestor.

Web Accessibility Coordinator

Laurie Wager has been designated as the Web Accessibility Coordinator for Pennington County.  The Web Accessibility Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Pennington County's web accessibility compliance.
